Ever wonder of what your kids might want to do with their old stuff or unused material? Does your kids know what they can do with the old stuff or unused material? Well, here is the chance for them to learn more about recycling materials. Send your kids to our science centre as we aimed to promote interest, learning and creativity in Science and Technology for the young generation. Through the educational activities that we've conducted, we practiced these elements with recyclable materials, safe and simple added with fun on hands-on activities and this month, 'Holiday Explorer' will be bringing your kids to the world of recycling materials.

Throughout the programme itself, the kids will be able to learn on how important it is to preserve our environment. Other than that, the kids will be taught on how to encourage themselves in recycling the old and unused material as well as protecting the environment. Through this programme also, the kids will be able to show their hidden talents of arts & craft by reusing the old materials.

OGDC SCIENCE CAMP - SURVIVAL SCIENCE: PART II

OGDC Science Camp 2008 is finally here and it's time for the kids to have fun with Science & Technology during their holiday.

This is the 6th consecutive year for the Oil & Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC): A Flagship of Brunei Shell Petroleum Co. Sdn Bhd,to be conducting a camp for teenagers aged between 13 to 17 years old. This year we have decided to extend the period of camp from 4 days 3 nights to 5 days and 4 nights; at the same time changing the name of the camp from 'DISCOVERY' to 'SCIENCE' to reflect the progress that we had made for the past 6 years. It is our hope that through the camp it will ignite participant sense of enthusiasm and inquisitiveness about Science & Technology.

During this camp, the participants will be able to

- Enhance their interest and knowledge in the field of Science & Technology
- Acquire their Leadership and communication skills
- Appreciate the value of team work
- Promote a forum for exchange of ideas amongst participants
- Identify their individual strength and limitations
- Harness their hidden talent

OGDC Rubik's Cube Challenge 2008 Competition (Fourth Preliminary Round)

The fourth and the final preliminary round for the OGDC Rubik's Cube Challenge 2008 is
FINALLY HERE.

DATE: Friday, 21st November 2008
TIME: TBC
VENUE: International Graduate Studies (IGS) College, Kiulap

For the winners who have successfully get through all of the preliminary rounds, they will get their chances during the final competition in December of bringing home some cash prizes worth between B$100 to B$250. On top of that, they will also be bringing home an authentic Rubik's Cube from Icklebooks as well as some book vouchers from Pustaka Remaja and Best Eastern.
